Firecrackers were already banned in Delhi, now the government has issued another ordinance announcing the penalty.

Anyone found bursting firecrackers in the capital city of Delhi will be fined Rs 200 and may face 6 months in jail. Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai gave this information in a press conference.

What action will be taken if crackers are broken?

According to the information received, a fine of Rs. Otherwise you can be jailed for 6 months. Also, if you stock firecrackers, or participate in selling them, you can be fined up to Rs 5000 and jailed for three years. For now, these restrictions can work effectively, so 408 teams have been created. Headed by Assistant Commissioner, Delhi Police has formed 210 teams, Income Tax Department has also formed 165 teams and 33 teams of Delhi Pollution Control Committee are also to be deployed.

How long will the ban last?

The government has once again imposed a complete ban on firecrackers in September. Everything from selling to cutting was banned. This order will continue till January 1 next year. This step is being taken by the Kejriwal government to control the pollution continuously for the last two years. The Supreme Court has also expressed displeasure on bursting firecrackers from its side.
