ISRO made history; Successful commercial launch of ‘Baahubali’ rocket LVM3 with 36 foreign satellites

New Delhi: Indian Space Agency ISRO has created history once again. The commercial launch of ISRO LVM3 took place on Saturday at 12.07 minutes. It is the heaviest rocket ever built. At the same time, 36 satellites of the UK-based company ‘One Web’ have also been launched. LVM3 M2/OneWeb India1 The mission was a complete success. The launch took place at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.

The LVM3 M2 rocket is 43.5 meters tall and weighs 644 tons. This rocket is also capable of lifting 8000 kg. Whereas ‘One Web’ is a joint initiative of Bharti Global and UK Government. Before LVM-3 this rocket was also known as GSLV mark rocket. A 24-hour countdown was kept for this mission. British startup OneWeb launched 36 satellites in this mission. They are going to be injected into low earth orbit.

It is a three-stage rocket, with two solid motor stages on and one propellant stage. In the middle is a cryogenic stage. He is also known as ISRO’s Baahubali due to this weighty appearance. This launch is significant for ISRO. Because the LVM3-M2 mission is the first dedicated commercial mission for NewSpace India Limited, the commercial arm of ISRO.

345 international satellites launched into space

ISRO has so far successfully launched 345 international satellites into space. The most reliable medium-lift Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) has helped for this. In 2017, the rocket launched 103 foreign satellites weighing 1,378 kg, including the mapping satellite Cartosat-2. 96 of these satellites were from the United States, while one each was from the Netherlands, Switzerland, Israel, Kazakhstan and the UAE.
