She was riding a motorcycle with her husband and the woman was not wearing a helmet this time. She sustained severe head injuries in the accident and survived but remained unconscious. Deepak Gupta, professor of neurosurgery department, said that the woman was unconscious, she opened her eyes, but she could not understand anything.

According to AIIMS doctors, the woman was 40 days pregnant when she was admitted to the hospital. A team of gynecologists reviewed her condition and said the baby was completely healthy. At present the patient is in unconscious state and she is unable to breastfeed the baby. The baby is currently being fed from a bottle. It is said that the woman was unconscious when she reached the hospital. A total of five neurosurgical operations were performed between March 30 and June 15.
