New Delhi: A team of Delhi Police went to Gurugram on Friday in connection with Shraddha Walker’s murder. The police had gone to Gurugram to record the statements of Aftab Poonawala’s company colleagues. Aftab murdered Shraddha Walkar (Shraddha Walkar Murder Case) six months ago by strangulation and then chopped her body into 35 pieces.

During interrogation, Aftab threw Shraddha’s body parts while going to work in a private IT company in Gurugram, he said. After that, the police visited the company. Meanwhile, the police recovered a packet which may contain the victim’s missing head. It is reported that it has been sent for forensic examination as it is highly decomposed.

The search was conducted in a forested area near Aftab’s former office in DLF Phase II, Gurugram. Police have seized some items which are being treated as evidence. Aftab has also changed his answer. He has said that he cut Shraddha’s body into 17-18 pieces instead of 35.

The police claimed that, in such crimes, the killer remains depressed for at least a month and only then begins to return to normal. The same is likely to have happened with Aftab. As part of the investigation into the case, a team of Delhi Police reached Mumbai, the police realized that Aftab had deleted things from his phone that could be crucial in the case against him. Accordingly, the police have sent the phone for forensic examination.

Next week, the National Cyber ​​Forensics Laboratory will submit an analysis report on what was found during the investigation of Aftab’s camera, phone and laptop. NCFL is trying to get the deleted photos, chats, search history and phone location of both Aftab and Shraddha in May and June. The focus is on analyzing the content of the mobile phone and its camera. Laboratory sources said that it will take time to analyze the laptop.
