As per the early signs of the Delhi Municipal Elections, there was a thorny clash between the AAP and the BJP. But three hours after the counting of votes started, the picture is getting clearer. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party has begun to undo the BJP’s 15-year rule.
If we look at the statistics at 12:00 PM (when counting of votes started), AAP is leading in 89 seats and leading in 47 seats (total 136), while BJP is leading in 32 seats (total 101) after winning 69 seats. Congress has won 4 seats and is leading in 5 seats (total 9). While three seats are seen going to other candidates.
Most of the exit polls predicted that the Aam Aadmi Party would get a majority in the Delhi Municipal Corporation. This prediction seems to be coming true.
