BJP MPs claimed that Rahul Gandhi, while speaking on the motion of thanks for the President’s address in the Lok Sabha, raised wrong, insulting, unparliamentary and misleading issues about Narendra Modi. In this regard, the BJP MP had given a notice of breach of privilege. Now the Deputy Secretary Privileges and Conduct Branch of the Lok Sabha Secretariat has given an email notice to Rahul Gandhi.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had issued a breach of privilege notice on Rahul Gandhi’s speech. Meanwhile, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi had written to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha demanding that the unparliamentary, disrespectful allegations in Rahul Gandhi’s speech be removed from the proceedings of the Lok Sabha under Rule 380.
In his speech, Rahul Gandhi raised questions from the report issued by the Hindenburg Research Institute in America regarding businessman Gautam Adani. Rahul Gandhi also questioned the relationship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gaitam Adani.
Rahul Gandhi had criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP on the issue of Adani. Rahul Gandhi had alleged that after Narendra Modi’s foreign tour, Adani got the contract during the foreign tour. Rahul Gandhi also showed photos of Gautam Adani and Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha.
Much of Rahul Gandhi’s speech in the Lok Sabha regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gautam Adani was deleted from the proceedings of the Lok Sabha. Rahul Gandhi also responded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not responded to the allegations.
