Notably, clinical trials of six different corona vaccines are underway in India. It also includes covishield and covacin. Meanwhile, the Covishield vaccine, being developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca on January 1, has been approved for emergency use in India. The Covishield vaccine will be administered by the Indian vaccine manufacturer Serum Institute of India (SII). Thereafter, on Saturday, January 2, the Central Drug Standards Control Authority (CDSCO) recommended the emergency use of Bharat Biotech’s covacin.
