What will DCGI announce today regarding the corona vaccine ?; Curiosity strained

New Delhi: The new year 2021 is giving good signs from the very first day. On January 1, the country was happy with the news of the first corona vaccine, while on the next day, January 2, the news of the first indigenous corona vaccine was received. Due to this, the happiness of the people of the country was doubled. Now, the government has said that the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (DCGI) will make a big announcement today about the corona vaccine.

The DCGI today held a press conference after a committee of experts from the Central Drug Authority recommended approval of the covacin vaccine developed in the country with certain conditions. In addition, a committee of experts from the Central Drug Standards Control Institute (CGSCO) on Covid on Friday recommended the emergency use of Oxford’s anti-coronary vaccine.

With this, the way has been opened for the first vaccine to be introduced in India. A committee of experts from the CDSGO has recommended that the Serum Institute of India be allowed for limited emergency use of Kovishield in India.

The CDSCO’s SEC will meet on January 1 and 2 and send a recommendation to the Comptroller and Auditor General of India to consider the approval and take a final decision on it, the Union Health Ministry said. Kovacin is a vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech with the help of Indian Medical Research Council as an indigenous vaccine.

The SEC had on Friday recommended the emergency use of Oxford-AstraZeneca’s Corona antiviral vaccine Covishield in India. The health ministry said the approval was recommended in the wider public interest. According to sources, the pharmaceutical company will continue testing its third phase vaccine. The vaccine has the potential to destroy the virus, the committee said.
