‘Thalaiva’ Rajinikanth to contest? Party meeting today

Chennai:Superstar Rajinikanth can make an important announcement in his political life today. Rajinikanth’s supporters had urged him to reconsider his decision to stay out of politics. Today (Monday) Rajinikanth will meet his party’s district secretary Rajni Makkal Mandaram (RMS). Will Rajinikanth stand for election next year or not? This is likely to be decided in this election. Therefore, the attention of the people of Tamil Nadu, including many political parties in the country, has turned to today’s meeting.

Last month, actor Rajinikanth himself had expressed the possibility that his entry into politics could be delayed due to his long illness.

Doctors had advised Rajinikanth to go out for campaigning during the Corona period. Doctors had also advised Rajinikanth not to travel. “I will take a decision on my political entry in consultation with the members of Rajni Makkal Mandaram,” he said.

Later, some posters appeared in Vellore district of Tamil Nadu. This prompted Rajinikanth to reconsider his decision.

Earlier, actor and political leader Kamal Haasan (Makkal Nidhi Mime party president) and Rajinikanth had expressed their desire to come together and work for the welfare of Tamil Nadu.
