Muzaffarpur: The farmers’ movement has taken a different turn after the violence in the tractor rally on the Republic Day in Delhi. On the one hand, it is claimed that the agitation has weakened, but on the other hand, the Mahapanchayat held in Muzaffarpur today saw a flood of farmers. Now Muzaffarpur seems to be the center of important developments related to the farmers’ movement.

Thousands of farmers turned up at the Mahapanchayat in response to an emotional appeal by Indian Farmers Union (BKU) spokesperson Rakesh Tikait. The ‘Mahapanchayat’ was called after the Republic Day violence by the farmers’ union ‘Bharatiya Kisan Union’ on the Ghazipur border.

It is noteworthy that many farmers from neighboring states have also gathered in this Mahapanchayat. The farmers reached the Mahapanchayat on a tractor. Farmers from Meerut, Bulandshahr, Hapud, Shamli, Saharanpur, Amroha and Moradabad have joined the Mahapanchayat. After this, it is speculated that more important developments may take place in western Uttar Pradesh.

After watching the video of Rakesh Tikait’s tears breaking, it was seen that the farmers’ movement got more strength. Meanwhile, Rashtriya Lok Dal, Samajwadi Party and Congress leaders have openly supported the agitation. Therefore, the political atmosphere seems to be heating up.

Mahapanchayat was announced in Sisauli Panchayat on Friday at the Political Inter College in Muzaffarnagar city. Rakesh Tikait’s brother Naresh Tikait warned that the government would have to pay the price if any farmer in Ghazipur was touched. Naresh Tikait had appealed that such a crowd should gather in the Mahapanchayat that the government would have to bow before the unity of the farmers.
