In West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress has no other choice. No other party in the state can replace the Trinamool Congress, Banerjee said.
The BJP is the biggest challenge for the ruling Trinamool Congress in the state. The BJP has been attacking the Mamata Banerjee government over law and order in the state.
The Trinamool Congress will work for better governance. No other party can take its place. “Because the TMC is the most public interest government in the world,” she said. Mamata Banerjee was speaking at a meeting of Trinamool Congress Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes leaders in Kolkata on Thursday.
Criticizing the recently presented budget, Mamata also said, “BJP has destroyed Sonar Bharat and now Sonar is doing Bangla things.” He also slapped the BJP saying that those who want to sell the country should look in the mirror before looking at West Bengal.
Mamata has also accused the BJP of using social media to spread propaganda and misinformation.
“We did everything possible to help the people affected by Hurricane Amphan … but we had to face criticism for one mistake or another,” he said.
He also said that the central government should repeal the citizenship reform laws and the existence of such laws could be dangerous for the citizens of the country.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had won 18 out of 42 seats in the state. The state will now hold assembly elections in April-May. BJP has set a target of getting more than 200 seats in this election.
