Ayodhya: A nationwide campaign has been underway since last month to collect donations for the famous Ayodhya Ram Temple in Uttar Pradesh. According to the ‘Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Shrine’ committee, more than Rs 1,500 crore has been collected so far for the Ram Mandir under this campaign.

The nationwide donation drive was launched on January 15. The campaign will continue till February 27.

According to Swami Govind Dev Giri, treasurer of ‘Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirthakshetra’, according to the available data, a fund of Rs 1,511 crore has been collected for the Ram Mandir till Thursday, February 11. In other words, even in the Coronation period, this fund has been made available for religious activities in just 27 days.

About 1.5 lakh Vishwa Hindu Parishad workers have participated in this campaign. Caste donations are being collected from house to house for the Ram temple. The Ram Mandir Trust has opened accounts with State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank and Bank of Baroda.

According to Champat Rai, the campaign for the grand Ram temple will end on February 27. For this, more than Rs 13 crore, Rs 10, Rs 100 and Rs 1000 coupons were printed by the Ram Janmabhoomi Shrine Committee.
