New Delhi: February 14 is celebrated everywhere as Valentine’s Day, a symbol of love. But two years ago, terrorists carried out a bloody attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. This incident shook the whole country. The incident took place on February 14, 2019. It became a black day in the history of the country. It has been two years since this incident. The wounds of the Pulwama attack are still fresh. In Pulwama district, a Jaish-e-Mohammed militant hit a CRPF bus with an explosive-laden vehicle, killing 40 soldiers and injuring several others.

The attack was planned by Jaish-e-Mohammed leaders based in Pakistan. However, an investigation has revealed that the instinct to target the CRPF bus belonged to a shopkeeper at Kakapora in Pulwama. The NIA has filed a 13,500-page chargesheet in the Pulwama terror attack case. The shopkeeper’s name is Shakir Bashir Magare. The chargesheet contains the names of a total of 19 accused. 6 of them have been killed. 13 are still alive. The accused include Jaish leader Maulana Masood Azhar and his two brothers, Rauf Asghar Masood and Maulana Ammar Ali. The FBI also helped gather evidence of the attack.

One of the accused, Shakir, 22, was running a furniture shop near Lethpora Bridge on the Jammu-Srinagar highway. It was the most important local connection to the terrorist attack. In the Pulwama attack, a CRPF convoy bus was hit by a car packed with explosives. The blast killed 40 CRPF personnel in the bus.

Shakir was arrested by the NIA. Usman Haider, nephew of Jaish-e-Mohammed leader Masood Azhar, was killed in an encounter in Kashmir in October 2018. Mohammed Omar, Masood Azhar’s second nephew, was then given the responsibility of attacking security forces. Mohammed Omar and his accomplices plotted the car bombing. But the discussion was on. At the same time, Shakir suggested targeting a CRPF convoy passing through the highway. His shop was on the side of the highway. As a result, he was monitoring the movements of the security forces, the NIA indictment said.
