New Delhi: A Delhi Police officer was fatally attacked by a protester during a farmers’ agitation on Delhi’s Singhu border. It is understood that the incident took place between 8.00 pm on Tuesday. After this, the accused Harpreet Singh was arrested.

Harpreet Singh, a protester, had earlier seized the vehicle from the Delhi Police with the force of a sword. After the police chased the accused, the accused left the vehicle at Mukarba Chowk and tried to flee in a Scooty.

Meanwhile, Police Station House Officer (SHO) Samaypur Badli Ashish Dubey was chasing the accused along with his other colleagues. When the police tried to stop the accused, the accused attacked Ashish Dubey with a sword. Dubey survived the attack briefly. But he suffered serious injuries to his hands and neck. Ashish Dubey was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
