Salem, Tamil Nadu: Tejaswi Surya, president of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Yuva Morcha, was in Tamil Nadu on Sunday on the backdrop of the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Here he launched a vicious attack on the Dravida Munnetra Kalagham (DMK) party. This time, he also made the controversial remark that the DMK is an ‘anti-Hindu’ party.

The DMK is a party representing a dangerous and anti-Hindu ideology. Every Tamil person is a proud Hindu. This is the holy land with the most temples in the country. One inch of Tamil Nadu is full of holiness. But, DMK is anti-Hindu. We have to defeat them for this, he said, adding that the BJP represents Tamil Nadu and the Tamil language.

‘If Tamil is to be saved, Hindutva must be won. If Kannada is to be saved, then Hindutva must be won. The BJP represents the spirit of Tamil Nadu and the Tamil language, ”said Tejaswi Surya.

For DMK, his family is the party, but for the BJP, his party is his family, said Surya while addressing the audience.

‘DMK’s anti-Hindutva ideology has to be challenged. When they are in power, they attack Hindu institutions and faith. However, as soon as they come out of power, Hindus start asking for votes, it will not work, ‘he added.
