New Delhi: On the one hand, former Congress president and MP Rahul Gandhi is on a tour of Tamil Nadu, while on the other, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is on a tour of Assam. The dates for the April-May Assembly elections in both the states have also been announced.

During her visit to Assam, 49-year-old Priyanka Gandhi visited the Lakhimpur area, which is famous for its tea plantations. Here she also participated in the traditional ‘Jhoomar’ dance with the tribal youth.

A video of Priyanka Gandhi’s dance has been shared on social media by the Congress party. Surrounded by media and security guards, Priyanka Gandhi is seen performing a traditional local dance. Many local youths also enjoyed shaking with them.

This time, tribal women are seen wearing red and white sarees. Priyanka Gandhi is wearing a purple sari. They have also worn the traditional accessories of Assam.
