Support to agitating farmers; FIR against Tejaswi Yadav

Patna: An FIR has been lodged against Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav. A case has been registered against 18 persons including Tejaswi Yadav. It is alleged that he had staged a protest outside the Gandhi Maidan in support of farmers without any permission during the Corona virus crisis. Patna police has registered an FIR against him.

Led by Tejaswi Yadav, RJD and Congress leaders staged a sit-in protest at Gate No. 4 of Gandhi Maidan in support of the agitating farmers in Delhi. At this time, all the protesters were repeatedly explained by the administration. Requested to leave. But still no one stepped aside from there.

An FIR has been registered against Tejaswi and other leaders. These include MLA Alok Mehta, Ramanand Yadav, former minister Shyam Rajak, Ramai Ram, former MLA Shaktisingh Yadav. RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari, Congress state president Madan Mohan Jha and others. An FIR has been registered against them under sections 188, 145, 269 and 279.

Tejaswi Yadav protested at the gate of Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Opposes the central government’s agricultural laws. Our full support to the farmers’ movement and we stand firmly with them. This resolution is made, said Tejaswi Yadav.

Farmers’ agricultural commodities must get a minimum basic price. Tejaswi Yadav alleged that the government’s failure to mention the MSP meant that the agricultural sector was being sold into private hands and privatized.
