Farmers protesting are not real; Controversial statement of the Minister of State for Agriculture

New Delhi:After several failed discussions with farmers’ organizations, the central government now appears to be playing a somewhat lenient role. Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Chaudhary has said that the Center is ready to give a written assurance to maintain the minimum support price. While saying this, the Union Minister of State for Agriculture has made a controversial statement. We do not think that the agitating farmers are real farmers. “I don’t think real farmers working in the fields are worried about this,” Chaudhary said. He also accused some politicians of adding fuel to the fire. He also said that the farmers of the country support the new agricultural laws.

I firmly believe that farmers will not take any decision that will lead to unrest in the country. These laws have given them freedom. Those who are real farmers are working in their fields and I don’t read that they are miserable.
