These guidelines will be applicable from 1st April 2021 and will be applicable till 30th April 2021. All the Governments of the States and Union Territories have issued instructions to enforce the Test, Tracking and Treat Protocol in all parts of the country. Accordingly, all the states should speed up vaccination in India and expedite the screening, verification and treatment of new patients (covid 19). Restrictions can be imposed at the local level if needed. But there will be no restrictions on interstate passenger and freight traffic. Foreign transport will also not be banned. The central government has clarified that no separate guidelines and permission are required for this.

In states where RT-PCR tests are low, they will have to increase the number of tests to 70 per cent or more. New patients who test positive need to be treated and quarantined as soon as possible. Based on tracking of coronary positive patients and their contact, the district collector had to determine the containment zone. They will have to provide information from the website, the Center said.

Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla has written a letter to all the Chief Secretaries. States and Union Territories should take necessary measures to prevent the spread of corona in workplaces and public places. It is very important to follow the guidelines for tests, tracks and treatment, the Center said.
