Lucknow: A shocking incident has come to light in which a widow returning home from work in the evening was taken to a secluded place under the pretext of giving her a lift and raped her. The incident took place on Wednesday evening at Kabrai police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Mahoba district.

According to information received, the woman did not return home until late Wednesday evening. So her family began searching for her. After some time the woman was found in a field. The accused was also present at the time. The woman told all the facts to her family. The family then arrested the accused and handed him over to the police.

The victim lives within the limits of Kabrai police station. Her husband died of an illness eight years ago. Since then, she has had family responsibilities. She supports her two daughters and one son with the income earned from farming. The woman was returning home from the field on Wednesday evening. At the same time, on the road, a two-wheeler pretended to give her a lift and put her on the bike. Then taken to a secluded place. There she was raped in a field.
