Jabalpur: A father-in-law with a bad eye on his daughter-in-law was killed in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. His son killed him with a betel nut worth Rs 50,000. All the accused in the case have been arrested by the police.

The shocking incident has come to light at Jabalpur’s Bargi police station. Bargi police had received information that a partially burnt body was found in the forest of Garh Gorakhpur Beet on March 28 in the afternoon. Upon learning of the incident, staff, including senior police officers, arrived. Preliminary investigations revealed that the man had been killed and an attempt had been made to burn the body.

The Superintendent of Police appointed different teams to investigate the murder. Police in Seoni district were also seeking information about the case. Shail Patel, 52, of Baroda in Ghunsor in Seoni district is reported missing. Bargi police called his family to identify the body. They identified the bodies. The deceased’s wife said that on the 26th, her husband Shail Patel was taken away by Ayush Sharma alias Chhotu and Manoj alias Panda on a two-wheeler. They have not returned since. Police searched for AYUSH and Manoj. When the two were taken into custody and interrogated, the murder was uncovered.

The accused confessed that they had paid Rs 50,000 for the murder of Shail Patel by his son. My father had a bad eye on my wife. The accused said that a conspiracy was hatched to kill him. He also said that a betel nut worth Rs 50,000 was given to Pramod Patel from the village for the murder.
