Bijapur / Jammu: A photo of Rakesh Singh, a Cobra commando who went missing after an encounter with the Maoists in Chhattisgarh, has surfaced. The Maoists claimed that Rakeshwar Singh was in their custody while talking to Bijapur-based journalist Ganesh Mishra. The Naxals have also sent a letter to Ganesh Mishra with a photo of Commander Rakeshwar Singh and their conditions.

This is the first photo of Rakeshwar Singh after his disappearance. The Maoists have said in the letter that Rakesh Mishra will be released only if the government sends mediators to discuss with them.

On the other hand, the family of Rakesh Singh Manhas, a resident of Jammu, has appealed to the government. His wife Meenu Manhas demanded that the government should release Rakesh Singh as soon as possible.
