- Anything for a friend … This is the story of Noida Bokaro’s ‘Jai-Viru’
- Corona transition and 1400 km journey facing many obstacles
- Only by giving oxygen to a childhood friend
Devendra is a teacher who has settled in Bokaro while Ranjan Agarwal has moved to Noida for work. The two have been friends since childhood … However, the friendship between these two friends, who are looking for different ways to earn a living, still has ‘oxygen’.
Oxygen brought from Bokaro
Devendra could see in the news that the situation had deteriorated during the Corona transition in Delhi. However, Devendra became upset after realizing that Karona had reached Ranjan, who lives in Noida, and that his oxygen level was declining. Ranjan, who was being treated at the hospital, was not getting oxygen. The doctors also told the relatives of the patient that they would have to arrange for oxygen. No one was suggesting a way. In the same way, Devendra decided to make every effort to provide oxygen to Ranjan and his efforts were successful.
A journey of 1400 kilometers
Oxygen was not available in Delhi but Devendra realized that oxygen could be found in Bokaro and made a decision. Getting an oxygen cylinder, Devendra traveled 1400 km in his car and reached the hospital … and Ranjan got ‘friendly oxygen’ along with medical oxygen.
Rs 10,000 calculated for one cylinder
After realizing that Ranjan’s health was deteriorating, Devendra contacted some plants and medical oxygen suppliers in Bokaro. But, it was not possible to get oxygen without an empty cylinder. After that, with the help of another friend, Devendra contacted the director of Jharkhand Steel Oxygen Plant in Biada. After realizing that if he deposited the deposit for the cylinder, he would get oxygen, Devendra paid Rs 10,000 for the jumbo cylinder. It had a deposit of Rs 400 for oxygen and Rs 9,600 per cylinder.
Restrictions also had to be faced
After receiving oxygen, Devendra on Sunday morning covered a distance of 1400 km in his car and delivered oxygen for Ranjan within 24 hours. During this trip he also had to answer many questions from the police. Seeing this ‘glory’ of his friend, Ranjan thanked his friend with tears in his eyes.
