  • New policy for Kovid patients from the Union Ministry of Health
  • Patients can be admitted to Kovid Hospital without a Kovid positive report
  • Patients from different states, districts or cities will not be denied treatment

New Delhi: While the corona transition is taking place in the country, the citizens with inadequate amenities are facing a big crisis. Corona-infected patients and death figures are setting a new record. At such a time, the Ministry of Health has taken a big step by changing the national policy of Corona. The central government has directed that Kovid positive report should not be made compulsory for admission to Kovid health centers or hospitals. Therefore, patients can be admitted to Kovid Hospital without Kovid positive report.

Until now, corona positive reports were being sought when being admitted for treatment at Covid hospitals or Covid centers. Therefore, patients who showed symptoms of covid had to face many problems till they got a ‘positive report’. Many patients lost their lives due to untimely treatment due to lack of positive reports. But due to the new guidelines of the center, patients will no longer be forced to report positive for treatment.

Also treat patients from different states

This will also allow suspected covid patients to be admitted to the hospital now. Covid suspected patients may be admitted to a separate ward for suspected patients at Covid Care Center, a fully dedicated Covid Care Center, and Covid Hospital. It has also been clarified that states do not have the right to refuse treatment to patients from different states, so patients cannot be denied treatment just because they are not in their own state.

According to the policy of the Ministry of Health, no patient should die due to refusal to give oxygen or medicine. So why shouldn’t he be from a different city … No patient can be denied treatment as he does not have a valid city or district identity card.

Patients should be admitted to the hospital as per their need. However, beds should not be blocked for patients who do not need to be admitted to the hospital, the Center said.

The Union Ministry of Health has directed the Chief Secretaries of all the States and Union Territories to start implementation of the new policy in the next three days.
