Pregnant women can also be given the option of getting any corona vaccine. The NTAGI has also suggested that women who are breastfeeding may be vaccinated against corona.
There is currently an interval of four to eight weeks between two doses of the Covishield vaccine. However, NTAGI has recommended an interval of 12 to 16 weeks between the two doses of Covishield. However, the committee did not suggest any change in the interval between the two doses of covacin. The NTAGI’s recommendations will now be forwarded to a committee of national experts.
Claims in the study
A study had claimed that the second dose of Corona vaccine, given a little later, would reduce the number of deaths due to Covid 19 infection. This claim has been made against persons below 65 years of age.
Earlier, the doctor had given different advice
Prior to the NTAGI recommendation, however, doctors had advised Corona patients to be vaccinated three months after recovery. The CDC US guideline also recommended vaccination within 90 days of leaving the corona. No changes have been made yet.
