Nitin Gadkari: Nitin Gadkari suggests a new way to increase vaccine production in the country

New Delhi: Vaccination is the only effective way to fight the virus as the country faces the Corona Crisis. At present, the country is facing a shortage of vaccines. The Modi government at the Center, which has been vaccinating abroad without considering the needs of the country, has to bear the brunt of this. Meanwhile, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has suggested a new way to increase vaccine production in the country.

Nitin Gadkari suggested that other vaccine companies in the country should also be given licenses to manufacture corona vaccine. If the demand for vaccines is increasing in the country, then 10 more companies should be licensed instead of one. Each state has two-three labs. They should do it not as a vaccine service but with 10% royalty. Gadkari believes that this can be done in just 15-20 days.

“If these companies make vaccines for India first and then the production is higher, we can export them,” Gadkari said. He clarified that 10 per cent royalty should be paid to the patent holders of the drug by some other drug companies.

Nitin Gadkari made this statement during a video conferencing discussion with the Chancellor of the University. He also said that he would personally urge Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enact legislation to sanction some more pharmaceutical companies to increase the production of life-saving drugs and vaccines.

‘Funeral expenses can be reduced’

Besides, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari also expressed the need to provide facilities for funerals. The cost can be reduced by using diesel, ethanol, biogas and electricity in the cemetery. Question marks were being raised over the cremation after several bodies from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh were found in the waters of the river Ganga. Nitin Gadkari has made this statement. He also lamented the inadequate supply of oxygen.

Remarkably, ‘It is useless to depend on the Prime Minister’s Office. BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Subramaniam Swamy had demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi hand over the reins of the Corona War to Nitin Gadkari. However, while reacting to this, Nitin Gadkari had refrained from directly commenting on the demand to lead the fight against Karona. “We should all forget all differences and work out of social responsibility,” he said.
