Initial vaccines are imported
The ongoing vaccination campaign in the country during the Corona infection is experiencing a shortage of vaccine supply. Vaccination campaigns are underway in many states.
Russia will supply 3 million doses of Sputnik V vaccine to India by the end of May. The supply is expected to touch 50 lakh by June.
Dr. Agreement with Reddy’s
Russian vaccine manufacturers in India Has an agreement with Reddy’s. Through this, more than two lakh doses have been supplied to India from Russia. According to Verma, the Sputnik V vaccine has already been given 150,000 doses and the second time 60,000 doses. The first consignment imported from the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) arrived in India on May 1.
Three vaccines allowed in India
Although the country has been allowed to import Sputnik V vaccine, it is not yet possible to meet the demand. Adding GST for a single dose of Sputnik V vaccine costs Rs 995.4 in India. At present, only three vaccines, Covacin, Covishield and Sputnik V, are allowed in India.
