Covid19: 4454 deaths in a single day, totaling over three lakh

New Delhi: Inadequate supply of vaccines during the ongoing corona vaccination in the country has led to a decrease in the number of vaccination participants. On the other hand, 4454 people lost their lives due to corona in a single day on Sunday. So far, the total number of deaths due to corona in the country has crossed three lakh. So far, a total of 3 lakh 03 thousand 720 citizens have lost their lives due to corona. Earlier, on May 18, the death toll had reached a new record with 4,529 deaths.

As per the information given by the Ministry of Health on Monday morning, 2 lakh 22 thousand 315 crore infected patients have been found in the country on Sunday (May 23, 2021). At the same time, the total number of coronary heart disease patients in the country has reached 2 crore 67 lakh 52 thousand 447. At present 27 lakh 20 thousand 716 patients are undergoing treatment in the country.

In the same 24 hours, 3 lakh 02 thousand 544 patients were discharged. Till now 2 crore 37 lakh 28 thousand 011 patients in the country have succeeded in overcoming corona.

According to the Medical Research Council of India (ICMR), a total of 33 crore 05 lakh 36 thousand 064 samples have been tested in the country till May 23, 2021. Of these, 19 lakh 28 thousand 127 samples were tested for corona on the same day yesterday, i.e. on Sunday.
