New Delhi: On the 13th day after the demise of the late Times Group Chairman Indu Jain, his family, relatives, Times Group officials, close politicians and well-wishers attended the prayer meeting. The event was passed through online video conferencing due to the Corona rules.

The program began with verses from the Bhagavad Gita. The verses were recited by the priests of the ashram of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the founder of ‘Art of Living’.

Indu Jain, a veteran social worker, patron of the arts and a staunch supporter of women’s rights, died on May 13 due to complications related to covid. She was 84 years old at the time of her death. After the demise of Indu Jain, dignitaries from various fields including politics, industry and spirituality, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressed their grief.

She was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India in 2019, the Lifetime Achievement Award by the All India Management Association for her contribution to the media in 2018 and the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Indian Congress of Women.
