- Protesting the government’s policy by waving black flags
- AAP also supports agitating farmers
The farmers’ agitation is still going on on the border of the capital Delhi at a time when the corona is spreading in the country and many people are losing their lives. The farmers are demanding the repeal of the agriculture laws passed by the central government by force.
Black flags were also hoisted at the Singhu border against agricultural laws. Attempts are being made by the government to flee the protesters out of fear of Corona. However, farmers will not leave for fear of corona, said Rakesh Tikait, leader of the Indian Farmers’ Association.
We oppose government policies. We have taken the tricolor in hand, the government is also asking what is the need to take the tricolor in hand? “Even after six months, the government has not withdrawn the black laws, so we are protesting by waving black flags,” Tikait said.

Farmers will not leave for fear of corona, protesters ‘black day’
Punjab’s main opposition party Aam Aadmi Party has also decided to observe ‘Black Day’ on May 26 with farmers protesting against the Centre’s agriculture laws. AAP MLA and Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Harpal Singh Cheema has demanded the Center to repeal three agricultural laws.
Farmers have been protesting on the Delhi border since November last year. The Samyukta Kisan Morcha, which represents more than 40 farmers’ unions, had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi last Friday seeking discussion.
