According to the plan, efforts are being made to determine the availability of 30 to 32 crore doses of vaccines, said a senior source in the health ministry.

According to the plan, 250 million doses of covishield and covacin will be made available every month (vaccination against covid-19). In addition, 5 to 7 crore doses of other vaccines will be provided. These include Biological E, Serum Novax, Genova mRNA, Zydus cadilla DNA and Sputnik vaccines.

There were 75,000 vaccination centers in the country last April. This vaccination campaign can be carried out at these centers. Sources said that there is a plan to vaccinate 100 to 150 people a day at each vaccination center.

Making AEFI reporting Easy

The ministry plans to add another app to the Covin platform in one to two weeks to make AEFI (Adverse Events Following Immunization) vaccination registration easier. This app will have the facility to register the vaccine number. Which will be linked to the data. Any symptoms or side effects after taking this vaccine will be registered. Upon registration, the AEFI report will go to the District Immunization Officer. They will investigate and include it in the data.
