New Delhi: The fire broke out at the AIIMS hospital in the capital on Monday morning. The fire broke out in a store room on the ground floor near the emergency department. This is the second fire at AIIMS Hospital in the last 15 days.

Upon receiving information about the incident, seven vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot. They took immediate control of the fire. The incident took place around 5.00 am.

Patients were evacuated first after a fire broke out in the hospital. The fire was brought under control while the patient was standing outside. The fire did not cause much damage to the hospital.

A fire broke out on June 16

Earlier, a fire broke out at the AIIMS hospital on June 16 a few days back. The fire broke out on the ninth floor of the hospital building at night and the hospital management was in a hurry. The fire was brought under control by 22 fire brigade vehicles. However, no casualties were reported in the incident. Because this floor had already been emptied. Initial investigations revealed that the fire was caused by a short circuit in the refrigerator. The fire broke out in the hospital’s ‘conversion block’. There are different laboratories and testing departments.
