The Central Government has taken an important decision in this regard. The Central Government has issued an SOP in this regard. Accordingly, the new rules will come into force from July 1. The vaccine will be distributed on a daily basis based on the number of vaccinations received in a week. Private hospitals will be able to purchase a maximum of twice the dose. Also, hospitals that are participating in the vaccination campaign for the first time will be given vaccines based on the number of beds in the hospital, the central government said.

All private hospitals will now have to register on the Centre’s Covin portal for coronary vaccines. Hospitals will have to order doses from this. Most of the private hospitals are registered on the Covin portal, sources said. States and Union Territories will be informed about the number of doses of vaccines to be made available in private hospitals, the Union Health Ministry said.

Private hospitals do not need approval after successfully accepting orders for vaccines on the Covin portal. They will also be supplied with a dose of vaccine after the payment of the vaccine is made available electronically. The central government has said that this system will start from July 1.
