Video of 23-year-old woman stripped naked, incident in Gujarat goes viral

New Delhi: A very shocking and disgraceful incident has come to light in Dahod district of Gujarat. A 23-year-old tribal woman was stripped naked to be punished.

Her husband had claimed that the woman was having an affair with a man. After that, the husband, along with the villagers, stripped his wife naked and walked around the village. She was forced to carry her husband on her shoulders. It is learned that this incident took place on July 6.

Police recorded the incident after a video of the incident went viral on social media. Police arrested 18 accused, including the woman’s husband, after a case was registered against her on Tuesday.

According to police, the incident took place in the tribal-dominated village of Khajuri in Dahod district. A 23-year-old married woman was allegedly beaten up by her husband and villagers.

The video, which went viral on social media, shows the husband beating his wife along with other villagers. Several women and children were also present at the scene. Some women are seen in the video trying to cover the victim with clothes. The woman was stripped naked and punished for carrying her husband on her shoulders.

The victim had fled the house with a man a few days ago. Her husband and villagers searched for her and brought her to the village, where she was tortured as punishment. All the accused seen in the video have been arrested. All the accused have been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act, police said.
