At present, there are about 43,000 patients in the country. More than half of them are coming from Kerala.
As many as 22,056 new patients were found in the state on Wednesday. This has shocked the state as well as the Center. According to the Union Health Ministry, a six-member committee will visit the state soon. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavia said the committee would contribute to the state’s efforts in managing Kovid as the number of coronaviruses has increased in Kerala.
In Kerala, so far 33 lakh 27 thousand 301 people have been killed by Corona while 16 thousand 457 people have died in the state. Of these, 131 deaths were reported on the same day on Wednesday. At present 1 lakh 49 lakh 534 patients are undergoing treatment in the state.
In Kerala, 17 thousand 466 new patients were found on Saturday, 11 thousand 586 on Monday and 22 thousand 129 on Tuesday. The state has the highest transition rate in the country at 12.93 per cent, while the weekly transition rate is 11.97 per cent.
