Srinagar: In Jammu and Kashmir, it has been warned that stone-throwers and rioters will no longer get passports as well as government jobs.

According to an order issued by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, those involved in stone-throwing and dangerous activities will not get passports and No Objection Certificate required for government jobs.

The senior superintendent (SSP) of the special branch of the Criminal Investigation Department in Kashmir issued the order on Saturday.

During the verification to get the benefit of passport, government job as well as other government schemes, the person has been ordered to conduct special inquiry into law and order violation, stone throwing case as well as involvement in other criminal activities against the security forces in the state.

Police have also been directed to verify such cases with the records available at the local police station. For this, digital evidence such as CCTV footage, photos, videos as well as audio clips present with the police, security forces and other security agencies will be used to verify the person.

Orders have also been issued to refuse to issue a no-objection certificate if a person is found involved in stone-throwing or rioting during the investigation.

Welcome orders from BJP

BJP workers in the state have welcomed the order of the Jammu and Kashmir Police. He said that the decision of the present administration in the Union Territory was welcome. There are some anti-national forces in Jammu and Kashmir who are supporters of terrorism and Pakistan. BJP state president Ravinder Raina said that this was a big blow to those who were conspiring against the country and running away from their responsibilities.
