New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways had run regular mail and express trains as special trains in view of the Corona infection. But now it has been decided to normalize the traffic of these trains. This means that mail / express special and holiday special train services will now be the same as regular trains. These trains will run regularly again. As a result, passengers will no longer have to pay special train fares. Passengers will now be charged old regular fares for this train. At present, special trains are charging 30 per cent more than usual.

The Ministry of Railways has given this information through a letter. The decision will be implemented in the coming days. Instructions have been issued in this regard, the ministry said in a statement. Following this decision, more than 1700 trains will be restored as regular trains in the next few days. Carona-related precautions and restrictions will also apply to all vehicles.

What about advance booked tickets?

Those who make bookings will not be charged any extra fare for train tickets and no refunds will be given, the circular said. Although special fares are being canceled, train fares will remain the same as before. It has also been clarified that blankets, concessions and pantry facilities will not be provided as before.
