New Delhi: A Delhi court has ordered an FIR against BJP leader and spokesperson Sambit Patra for posting a fake video of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on social media. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has alleged that the video was an attempt to tarnish Kejriwal’s image.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had in January this year lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police against BJP’s national spokesperson Sambit Patra. AAP had lodged the complaint after an alleged fake video of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was posted on social media. AAP had demanded that Delhi Police should take strict action in this regard. Sambit Patra is a famous face of BJP on TV. The video of Kejriwal was shared by Sambit Patra on his Twitter handle on January 30.
The video shows Arvind Kejriwal praising the Centre’s new agriculture laws during an interview. He was seen in the video describing the legislation as a revolutionary step in the last 70 years.
