The cycle yatra started from Bhuikot fort in Ahmednagar on 2nd October, justifying the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The planning and leadership of this cycle trip was done by Vishal Ahire. Hundreds of cyclists took part in the procession. Along the way, he successfully completed the Sadbhavana Cycle Yatra to five states in India and Navlakhi in Bangladesh, coordinating accommodation, food, medical care and social organizations in each state. The Yatra ended in Bangladesh as scheduled. At the end of the journey, the cyclists were sent back to India by various routes.

Vishal Ahire, Ajay Wable, Santosh Dharmadhikari and Yogesh Jadhav were traveling in the ambulance of Snehalaya Sanstha. A tragic accident took place near Bhubaneswar in Odisha state around 2.30 am on Saturday. Vishal was killed in the incident. The injured Ajay Wable, Santosh Dharmadhikari and Yogesh Jadhav are undergoing treatment in Kolkata. Vishal Ahire’s body is being brought to Ahmednagar. Along with Dr. Snehalaya. Girish Kulkarni, Shyam Asava and brother Manoj Ahire, said Hanif Tamboli of Snehalaya.

Ahire was the coordinator of Snehalaya’s youth creation. At the age of seven or eight, he was admitted to the hospital. After completing his education, Ahire started working full time in Snehalaya. He was originally from Shrirampur. He is survived by an elderly father, a brother and a sister.
