“We are determined to make the country’s army self-reliant and I am confident that wherever Bipin Rawat is, he will witness the progress of the country and the empowerment of the army,” Modi said. Thirteen of the 14 people in the helicopter were killed in the Coonoor crash. Indian Air Force Group Captain Varun Singh is the only survivor of the accident. He is undergoing treatment at the Command Hospital in Bengaluru and the Prime Minister prayed for his recovery. Varun Singh is being treated by a team of expert doctors. Betting efforts are underway to save them. I am praying for their speedy recovery. Today, the whole country is taking care of Varun Singh. The Prime Minister also said that he was reassuring his family.
