In Kashmir, a soldier shot himself and committed suicide

Kupwada : A soldier shot himself in Kupwada district in northern Kashmir. It is learned that the incident took place around this morning.

A constable named Shinde Sandeep Arjun was posted at Drangyari Chowki Bal in Kupwada district. He turned his shotgun on himself when apprehended by a police officer on the porch of the house where the shootings took place. He was seriously injured in the incident. He was later shifted to Army Hospital in Srinagar for treatment. But he died of hemorrhage, officials said.
