Booster dose for beneficiaries above 18 years of age

A booster dose of the corona vaccine will be available for citizens over the age of 18 from Sunday. This dose will only be available at private vaccination centers. The Union Health Ministry made the announcement on Friday. Following the government’s announcement, the cost of a dose of Covishield vaccine will be Rs 600 per dose for eligible citizens, according to the vaccine maker Serum Institute of India. Free booster doses will continue to be available at government vaccination centers for health workers, first-line staff and sick people over 60 years of age. However, private hospitals and private vaccination centers will have to pay for booster doses. Only those who have completed nine months of receiving the second dose of the corona vaccine will receive a booster dose. So far 185 crore 38 lakh 88 thousand 663 vaccines have been given in the country.
