CBI’s major action; The chief executive of Nirav Modi’s company was brought to India

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a close associate of Nirav Modi, the mastermind of the PNB SCAM scam. Nirav Modi’s close associate Subhash Shankar Parab has been brought from Cairo, the capital of Egypt, from Mumbai. The CBI has taken this action.

Subhash Shankar Parab is a close associate of Nirav Modi. A Red Corner Notice was issued against him. Subhash Shankar is accused in a scam worth over Rs 13,000 crore of Punjab National Bank. He has been brought to India by a special plane today.

In 2018, Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi had fled India. He has since been brought to Mumbai from Cairo. Shankar has been arrested by the CBI and will be taken into custody today after he is produced in a Mumbai court. Subhash is expected to be produced in a Mumbai court around 12 noon. The PNB will probe him into the scam after the CBI takes over.

Shankar is a close associate of Nirav Modi. He was working for a company in Dubai. Parab is involved in PNB scam worth Rs 13,578 crore. He fled Dubai to Cairo in January 2018.
