Kerala announces tax cuts
Kerala Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal has announced tax deduction. Following the central government, tax cuts on petrol and diesel have also been announced in Kerala. The tax on petrol has been reduced by Rs 2.41 and the tax on diesel by Rs 1.36. Kerala’s finance ministers have welcomed the Centre’s decision while announcing tax cuts. After the central government cut taxes on petrol and diesel, the pressure on non-BJP states, including Maharashtra, has increased. Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis and Amravati MP Navanti Rana have demanded that the Maharashtra government announce tax cuts.
