Bhagwant Mann became an MP for the first time in 2014. He was elected from Sangrur constituency. He was then promoted by his wife Inderjit Kaur. However, in 2015, the two divorced. Mann also contested from Sangrur in 2019 and won. In mid-2022, you announced him as the Chief Ministerial candidate. Under his leadership, the party achieved tremendous success. Mann was sworn in as the Chief Minister on March 16, 2022.
