A four-foot crocodile was spotted after heavy rains in Waghodia area of Baroda, Gujarat. The locals were shocked to see the crocodile. Because Waghodia area is very far from Vishwamitri river. There are more than 300 crocodiles in this river.

Animal friend Neha Patel informed that crocodiles travel several kilometers through the drains without being seen by anyone. So far, crocodiles have been found in many places in the drains in the city, said Patel. Patel works to rescue crocodiles from Baroda and surrounding areas.
Baroda has nearly 410 km of drains. These drains are connected to most parts of the city. The drains work to release the rain water accumulated in the city to Vishwamitri river. “We get at least 25 to 30 calls every monsoon about crocodile sightings in drains,” informed Patel. But Patel said that it is difficult to keep the exact information of their whereabouts as they travel constantly.
