Padmashri Dr. Haldhar Nag was born on March 31, 1950 in Ghenas village of Bargarh district of Odisha. His family was very poor. When Nag was very young, his father died. As the financial situation of the family was poor, he could study only up to third grade. Haldhar Nag was fond of writing poetry and soon became famous all over the country.
