New Delhi: The state government has made some rules regarding second marriage of government employees. All the employees working in Bihar government will now have to take permission for second marriage. Even if the second marriage is permitted by personal law but rejected by the government, this marriage will not be considered valid.

According to the orders issued by the Nitish government, any second marriage while the spouse is alive will not be considered. Also, a child born out of this relationship will not be considered as a candidate for compassionate employment. The government has made it clear that if a government employee dies during service, the child born from second marriage will not get a job in their place.

Wife or children can be eligible for compassionate employment only if government officials or employees take permission to remarry. According to the rules issued by the government, the position of the first wife will be considered first. On behalf of the General Administration Department, these orders have been issued to the Heads of all Departments, DGPs, Board Commissioners and officers of all districts.

Rules must be followed

It is mandatory to follow these orders issued by the government level. If the second wife is appointed while the first wife is still alive, an affidavit must be given by the first wife. It is being predicted that many problems at the family level will be solved due to this decision of the Nitish government.
