Here and There…Notach Notach, Who is Arpita Mukherjee? 20 crores of money found in the house

New Delhi: The ED conducted raids in West Bengal on Friday, including raids at the premises of Arpita Mukherjee, a close aide of Industries Minister Partha Chatterjee. 20 Crores worth of cash has been found so far in this raid. The amount is suspected to be related to the SSC scam. The help of note counting machine is being taken to calculate this amount.

ED has recovered more than 20 mobile phones during the raid. The ED has raided the houses and offices of Education Minister Paresh C Adhikari, MLA Manik Bhattacharya and some others along with Chatterjee. The amount of crores of rupees found in this raid has shocked everyone.

Who is Arpita Mukherjee?

Arpita Mukherjee has done side roles in few films with Bengali film superstar Prosenjit. Apart from this, Arpita has also acted in the Bengali film Amar Antaranad. Arpita has mostly done side roles in her career. Apart from Bangla films, she has acted in Odia and Tamil films.

20 crores have been found at Arpita’s residence close to senior Trinamool Congress leader Partha Chatterjee. Parth is the Minister of Commerce and Industry in the Mamata Banerjee government. ED officials had raided Mukherjee’s house to probe the recruitment scam in West Bengal School Service Commission and Primary Education Board.

80 to 90 ED officials along with CRPF jawans of Kharagpur CAP raided 14 places simultaneously. An amount of crores of rupees was received by the evening. Arpita Mukherjee’s house was raided for 11 hours. Two bags containing a large amount of money were found in the house. ED recovered Rs 2000 notes from these two bags. Interestingly, all these notes were brand new. Chatterchi, the first Industries Minister of the state, was also questioned. His house in South Kolkata was searched.

A few days ago, the Calcutta High Court ordered the CBI to investigate the scam in the C and D recruitment process. After that, the ED had started a money laundering investigation. In this raid, ED has recovered some important documents, records, details of companies, electronic devices, gold and foreign currency.

ED had no intention of raiding Arpita Mukherjee’s residence in the government school recruitment scam and money laundering case. When the team found his name and documents during the investigation, they conducted raids.

Mukherjee was interrogated at his Nakatla residence after Rs 20 crore cash was found in his house. After 7 hours of interrogation by ED, his condition deteriorated. A doctor was then called.
