From October 7, 2001 to October 7, 2022, Narendra Modi has been working in consecutive constitutional positions. He has been working as Chief Minister for 12 years and 227 days and as Prime Minister for the last eight years till now. When Narendra Modi wanted to contest assembly elections from Rajkot, MLA Vajubhai Valawala gave up his constituency seat for him. Modi 57 in January 2002. He won by more than 14,000 votes with 32 percent votes.
