PM Narendra Modi: Why is Prime Minister Modi’s photo 21 years ago going viral on social media?

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been in charge of the country for the past eight years. However, today a photo of Prime Minister Modi is going viral on social media. A photo has been posted on a Twitter account called Modi Archive. Some more photos have been posted from this account. It mentions the day Prime Minister Modi became the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the first time. This photo of Prime Minister Modi is from 21 years ago. Today is October 7 and 21 years ago today, on October 7, 2001, Modi became the Chief Minister for the first time.

Prime Minister Modi took oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001. After that he worked as Chief Minister for 12 years and 227 days consecutively. He then became the Prime Minister. In this viral photo Narendra Modi is being sworn in as the Chief Minister by the then Governor of Gujarat Sundar Singh Bhandari. On this occasion, Gujarat’s popular police officer DD Vanjara was also present on the stage. After assuming the responsibility of Chief Minister, Prime Minister Modi started work immediately. He had a discussion with 10 collectors on video call.

When Narendra Modi was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he was not even a member of the Legislative Assembly. Four months after becoming the Chief Minister, in January 2022, he contested the election from Rajkot-2 constituency and became the Chief Minister with a resounding victory. Earlier on October 4, 2001, Narendra Modi was appointed as the Group Leader of Gujarat Legislature.

From October 7, 2001 to October 7, 2022, Narendra Modi has been working in consecutive constitutional positions. He has been working as Chief Minister for 12 years and 227 days and as Prime Minister for the last eight years till now. When Narendra Modi wanted to contest assembly elections from Rajkot, MLA Vajubhai Valawala gave up his constituency seat for him. Modi 57 in January 2002. He won by more than 14,000 votes with 32 percent votes.
